Michael E. Bell, DMD

Dr. Bell was born and spent most of his early and high school years in New Jersey.  After high school  he attended Rutgers College where he obtained his B.S. in Chemistry then off to UMDNJ – New Jersey Dental School completing his dental education.  After dental school, he completed a one year surgery internship at University Hospital in Newark, NJ, before attending Nova Southeastern University/Broward Health Medical Center’s 4-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency in Fort Lauderdale, FL. 

Dr. Bell practiced for a brief period in New Jersey,  both in a group oral surgery practice and as a clinical instructor at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine’s oral surgery department (which was previously UMDNJ – New Jersey Dental School).  Ultimately he decided to move back down to Florida, and eventually joining Dr. Azizi.

Dr. Bell’s training was comprehensive, and his interests and extensive experience in the areas of dentoalveolar surgery, dental implant surgery, maxillofacial pathology, orthognatic surgery, and treatment of traumatic injuries to the face and jaws are areas he excels.  Dr. Bell takes pride in being very thorough during consultation appointments.  He doesn’t want patients to feel as if their treatment is being rushed, and that they are equipped with all of the information they need to make an informed, confident decision to proceed with surgery.  He understands that surgery can be a very anxiety-inducing experience, and he strives to keep a calm, comforting environment for his patients.

Dr. Bell is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and is also a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, and the Central Florida Dental Association.

In his free time, Dr. Bell enjoys spending time with his dog Panda – you may see her in the office periodically!  She loves being in the car and they often go on little trips to explore nearby parks.  He also dabbles in working with electronics including putting together desktop computers, as well as precision target shooting.
